Ava’s Birthday Party

Today Trent went to his first little party. Cousin Ava turned 1 year old today and had a pool party. I took Trent and he really had fun splashing and playing in the pool. He even made a new friend, Kate.

He also had fun with his little cousin Ava.

 

Cousin Tyler enjoyed the fun as well.

 

 

 

 

 

After swimming, the kids changed and we had lunch. As it got time to open presents and eat cake, it was nap time and Trent started getting a little fussy. We didn’t get to stay much longer. Trent had a fun time and was worn out. He crash in the car before we could even make it to the freeway.

Thank you Kelley and Steve for a great party with lots of fun and excitement!! See you at Trent’s birthday in 4 months…..these babies are growing up too fast!

Big Boy

Trent is so entertaining right now! Last night we chased each other around the chair for about 10 minutes. He was cracking up! He is such a good boy!! So happy!

New Discovery

Trent has discovered the door stops now! They serve as an endless supply of cheap entertainment. He is so amused!

Trent loves to stand up in his crib now. You can count on him looking over the side at you if you go to check on him while he is still in the process of getting himself to sleep. Unfortunately, now his pacy is usually lost in between the bumper pad and the side of the crib where he can’t see it. We have to lay him back down with his pacy and eventually he rolls over to sleep.

 

Trent loves to be outside!! The three of us are now walking after dinner each night. It is good for all of us. It winds Trent down and gets him ready for a bath and bed. He loves checking out the neighborhood. On this particular evening, he had fought his afternoon and eventually had to skip it all together. As you can see he was worn out and fell asleep 2 minutes into the walk. Sweet boy!!

  

 

 

 

 

 

He is a such a good boy!!

He is now speaking non-stop! We went to bed Saturday with no words. Sunday morning our little man wakes up and from the second we got him out of his crib, he was running his mouth…”Dada Dada Dada Dada!!!” It is the absolute sweetest thing I have ever heard! He is definitely a Daddy’s boy right now. It is adorable! Trevor is the best Daddy too!

July 4th Week at the Ranch

All the kids and grandkids (minus Tay who was with her Mom on a trip) went up to the ranch for the week of 4th of July.

We all had a great time fishing, playing in the lake, and eating (of course)!!

Peyton, Presley and Carson all enjoy playing with their little Cousin. Here they are trying to show him the fun of the Wii Steering wheel and the gun.

The kids discovered the Trent likes to knock over towers of toys. They kept stacking up his cups and blocks and Trent would crawl over to knock them over. It was so cute!

Uncle Trent played with Little Man too. He tried his baseball cap on him to see how it looked. Lil Trent loved it as you can see!

Funny story: Chalyse in a hurry to get everyone packed after working all night, managed to get to the ranch without her swimsuit. So we call Ada while she is in Gatesville still to see if she could pick up a suit for Chalyse because we all planned on going in the lake to cool off and play. Well, Ada picked her up a two suits to be on the safe side; one a two-piece and the other a one-piece. The greatest one-piece of all time!!! It reminded me of the suit my Memaw wore when she took me and my Cousin Kelley to Tennessee in the late 80's. I made Chalyse give a fashion show and we all get a good laugh out of "The Suit"! It was awesome, complete with mini-skirt!! Don't hate me Chalyse for putting this on here. I will not, I repeat will not be putting it on Facebook.

We all had a great visit together!!

Crawling

My baby is now crawling..............it is kind of sad to watch him! I am having a hard time uploading the actual video, hoping this link works. If not, it is on my Facebook.

He is such a sweet boy! We took him to Whole Foods today to check out the organic world out there after I have been reading about the horrors in our food industry in the book "The Unhealthy Truth". It is really eye opening and very scary to find out what is actually in the foods that we eat and feed our families! I am starting to feel like a big hippy now. It is hard not to want to change eating habits after reading this book! I suggest that everyone read it so that you can atleast be informed.

Daddy got him up from his afternoon nap today.

I am sorry that it has been awhile since I have posted last. I have been out of town a few days for training and teaching summer schools. My free time is next to do nothing. By the time I get home at night and we get Trent to bed, I am ready to do nothing at all!

Lots of happened since I have been here last. Let's see......

• Trent is basically crawling a few steps at a time
• He is trying to pull up (had to lower his mattress tonight)
• He loves cell phones and remotes, of course
• He sits up like a champion
• He sleeps like true Spradley these days.....great naps and sleeping through the nights

He got to visit with his cousins while they were in town and his Uncle Trent while he stayed with us for a few days. We all loved having Big Trent here!!

I plan on adding pictures soon!!! Tomorrow is my last day of summer school!! :)

Casa Ole Lunch Date

Me, Mom and Trent met up with Kelley and Ava for lunch at Casa Ole today while we were all off together! It was really fun. Ava and Trent were both big kiddos in their high chairs. They were both so awesome! They snacked on treats at the table and entertained themselves for the most part. Trent tried tortilla for the first time and have a few samplings of rice and beans. He, of course at it up and loved it all!! Ava is a big girl and kept talking and talking (we didn't know what most of it meant, but she talked a lot just the same). Mom, of course made sure to tell Kelley and I what we needed to do with our babies. It's a good thing she was there too because Kelley and I both almost ordered an entire kid's meal for each of our babies and was going to shove the entire plate of food down their throats and just watch them both choke to death probably. We still have no idea yet what we are doing!! :) It's a Mom thing. If you know my Mom then you get the choke, right Kelley, right Erin???? haha!!


Ava wasn't too happy when her Mom sat her down for a picture without her....."how dare you leave me Mommy!!"

Trent tried to console here, "It's O.K. Ava, she's right there in front of you. See?" (he's pointing to Kelley, see?)
