Summer

So far this has been a busy summer. I am teaching summer school each morning untiil 12 so Trevor has been home in the mornings with both boys. The day we got out of school Cole was diagnosed with a double ear infection and then the following Wednesday Trent was diagnosed with Strep throat...fun, fun!!! So Trent has already missed a swim lesson and a day of MDO at Chrysalis this summer due to illness.

On a postive note, the 2 swim lessons he has been to have been really great!! Trent listens to the instructor and does what she asks him to and is enjoying his play time with Ava and Graye. Last night they all had to put their heads under water, one way or another. Trent looked stunned when he came up from the water like "what just happened?". Both girls were not too excited about this...when Miss Micah finally pushed them under, Trent just busted out laughing at them and then finally clapped for them congratulating them for doing it. It was such a hoot! 

Cole is crawlign everywhere and scooting around the couches standing and getting into EVERYTHING!!! I mean literally everything! He opens all of the cabinets...tries to pull out all of my pyrex casserole dishes...when we tell him no, he will look at you for a few seconds and then his face turns all scrunched up and he starts to cry...so sensitive..hates being told NO.

Ada is getting her house ready to sell and move up to Mikada. Taylor is possibly going to start the Aveda Institute in August and Trevor and I are slowly starting to look at land for sale around Goldthwaite to move there eventually.

Went to Mikada for Memorial Day weekend. This is the crew taking a lunch break at DQ Country. Trent got a treat with his kid's meal. He really enjoyed his ice cream cone.

Field Day

Trent in the sack race at his Lamkin Field Day. It was so cute watching all of those little kids try to figure out what to do at each station. They basically just made up their own rules and did whatever. It was 3pm and hot...Trent is already worn out by that time of the week. He lasted about half-way through the stations and then was ready to go home. He was so hot and tired!!

Easter Fun!

Trent was really into Easter this year! He had practiced at his schools this year while they had their own Easter egg hunts.

Saturday Kelley came over with Ava and Mom brought over Tyler and we all dyed eggs! Tyler had never decorated eggs for Easter before and he loved it. He was more into it than the little kids.

Trent had one egg he had found with a Green Lantern ring in it since he is now moved on to an obsession with that superhero.

Here is my lovely picture I wanted with my boys! Trent wouldn't cooperate so Tyler sat in to try and see if that would help and it didn't. Trent still wouldn't look at the camera..brat!

Here are the big Easter egg hunting kids...next year Brynn and Cole will be in on the action as well!

Potty Update

Trent did awesome at school yesterday! He had 1 accident at Chrysalis, but no accidents at all while at Lamkin!

And Mrs. Ryann sadi he now knows 11 capital letters and he can just about count to 10 now! We are so proud and excited for him!

Happy 8 Months birthday Cole!

How about this for a celebratory surprise.....Cole has a double ear infection! Ugh! I am ready for a healthy home again! Trent seems to be getting over his pneumonia just in time for Cole to suffer with a double ear infection.

My poor baby has a nasty cough and a runny nose and slept awful last night. He couldn't get comfy and his nose was driving him nuts. I was up several times with him trying to help soothe him back to sleep. I felt so bad for him! It is bad enough when you are a grown up and you are all stuffed up!

We had to use the aspirator once, the saline drops another time, I had to slean off the dried snot from his sweet little face...it was just awful! I hope tonight is better!

Trent Update

Trent stayed at Ada's yesterday to finish his meds and stayed in the same undies all day long with no accidents.

We sent him back to school today in his big boy undies. I hope it all goes well! To be continued...

Green Lantern

Cole iss 8 months today! He is getting too big, luckily though he is staying very sweet and is such an awesome baby!

Trent is currently obsessed with the Green Lantern. He has watched the new movie about 30 times in the last 2 weeks.

He informed us this morning that his favorite color is no longer blue, but GREEN! He got this cool glasses in his Happy Meal Saturday night and has been wearing them or carrying them around since. This morning he had to wear them into MaMa's house to greet her.



We ordered him the light up ring off of Amazon this morning and he will be so pumped when he gets them! We can't wait!

We were said to give the bad news to Batman that has been given the boot!

Update

Well, Trent has been lethargic at school this week and coughing off and on, progressively getting a worse cough. I took the morning off and took him to the pediatrician. He has pneumonia and we feel awful about it. The doctor says that most it started as a viral infection and lingered around long enough to cause pneumonina. My poor baby has to use an inhaler, take a steroid and an antibiotic for several days. I hope he feels better soon! I hate seeing my boys fight illness!

Trent was so good for the nurse and the doctor while they were checking him out. He took deep breaths for doctor each time he would move his stethoscope to listen to his chest. He was awesome while they did the inhaler on him, taking more deep breaths. The worse part was the swabs in his mouth to rule out strep, but he was even brave for that.

Cole

Our little guy is crawling around like crazy and getting into everything and anything! His favorite thing to do is trying to mess with the electrical cords in our room while I am trying to get ready in the mornings. This makes for quite a chore when I have to keep stopping to move him back to his toys and away from the cords. He is also eating up a storm! I am constantly buying more food for his little, cute butt! He is such a sweet boy and loves being mobile and able to get to his Big Brother. He loves his Big Brother and Trent is finally starting to give him some attention, of course only when he feels like it and it is HIS idea, typical Trent fashion!

MawMaw picked up both boys on Wednesday so I could drop off my sale items for the Just Between Friends sale this weekend. NuNu was able to see Trent and couldn't get over how big and tall he has gotten since the last time she saw him before I went back to work after Cole.

Tired Boy

This is how tired Trent was while shopping at Wal-Mart. He started to lay his head down on the cart and so I put the the package of toilet paper underneath his head. Before we got to the check-out line he was drooling all over the place.

Everyone was looking at him and smiling and feeling so bad for him as we went through the store.

Latest with Trent

Trent is being stubborn as ever these days! Everything is NO or Mine or he wants to do it himself! The 2's definitely have nothing on the 3's!

He doesn't want to wear underwear and hardly wants to pee in the potty, but at school he pees in the potty all day long and stays dry. It is time to mean business!! He is 3 1/2 years old and I am tired of buying him pull-ups!

I got him to pee in the restroom with me at the movies on Saturday and in the potty yesterday at our house, but usually it is a firm NO!

Trent is saying more and more now though and using more words together. This morning he pointed to the TV and said "want it on".

Latest with Cole

Cole had his check up on Friday and he is looking good. He is on track to be 6'1" like his Daddy one day!

Height: 28.5" (86%)

Weight: 19 lbs 11.7 oz. (65%)

It turns out that he had an ear infection in his right ear and had to get an antibiotic. I would have never known because he had been just as sweet as ever still.

He is now sitting up like a pro since we got back from the ranch on Thursday. As of Saturday he is crawling around good and trying to get into all of his Big Brother's toys, so it is about to get REALLY interesting around our house.

Trevor had to lower his crib yesterday because he is sitting up in his crib and we know it is not long before he thinks about pulling up on the side of it. Better safe than sorry.

He slept through the night for me Friday and Saturday night thank goodness, which was 12 hours of sleep for him. Last night he stayed with his MaMa and had some good one on one time by himself.

Cody and Trevor were busy building fences around the feeders so the horses could graze on our property for a while. Trent helped his Daddy out with this project.

Fun at the Ranch

Our Spring Break at the ranch. We took Mom & Tyler along with us for the week and Tyler had a blast just like I knew he would. He got to fish, collect bones, take pictures and play with Trent and Wyatt while the Dads worked on some projects.



Trent busted out one ofhis boots and so we had to duct tape it up for the rest of the visit. He didn't seem to mind at all. He just kept right on a playing.

I can't believe he is already 7 months old. He is sprouting his 2nd tooth on the bottom amd sitting up. Love this boy!!
